Welcome to our Pack, This letter of introduction provides basic information about Cub Scout Pack 202 in Cedar Park, Texas. For additional information, please browse the Pack 202 Website or contact any of our leaders.
Pack 202 was founded in 1996 and is sponsored by St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1101 W. New Hope Dr., Cedar Park, TX. Scout families in the pack come from the church members, the neighborhoods surrounding Giddens Elementary School, Leander ISD, and any other interested families. All scouts are welcome. The pack has regular meetings at Giddens Elementary.
Pack 202 is one of dozens of scouting units serving in the North Shore District of the Capital Area Council. The North Shore District encompasses units within the Lago Vista and Leander ISDs. The Capital Area Council is composed of 12 districts and serves the greater Austin area.
The pack includes about 50 scouts, 20 registered and trained leaders, and more than 200 family members in total. Pack 202 actively participates in camping trips, field trips, parades, CubWorld and other BSA activities, and performs service projects for the church, school, and cities of Cedar Park and Leander. In 2010, Cub Scout Pack 202 joined national celebrations for the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America and earned the Centennial Quality Unit Award.
